Become a Volunteer

Did you know that the most vulnerable group of people to be affected by loneliness is the aging population?

The aging population is anyone over the age of 60 who lives in their home or currently resides in a care center.

If you are interested and meet the requirements for volunteering as listed, sign up and complete the online application form.

Requirements to become a volunteer:

1.  Sign up – volunteers are required to sign up for the H2H Portal in order to gain full access to course materials and training. You can sign up to become a volunteer by clicking HERE to register.

Note: Please fill out ALL the fields on the registration page, including the ‘nickname field.’ Also, you must use a valid email which will be your username, and enter a ‘strong’ password. A strong password will have more than 8 characters, usually, this includes upper/lower case letters, special characters (Example; #@!*$>), and numbers.

2.  Submit an online application – once you sign up, you will receive an email with an invitation to activate your account. Once activated, you can to login into the portal and begin your online orientation. To log into the portal, you can access it by clicking HERE.

3. Complete all required online training – prior to starting any volunteer service, courses must be completed.

The volunteer orientation course is a series of videos, lasting 1-2 minutes each. You will complete a short quiz at the end of the course. The course can be completed in 30 minutes or less.

4. Complete a background check, by scheduling an appointment with us at the H2H office.

We as that each person makes a suggested donation which can range from $40  to $80.

Why do we ask? We are a non-profit organization and this dollar value covers the cost of a volunteer t-shirt, permanent name badge, H2H mask, and a specific type of background check needed for volunteering (depending on how you get involved), VECHS, or AHCA fingerprints. Don’t worry, you will have the opportunity to speak directly to our volunteer coordinator to learn details about which one will work best for your volunteering time with us.
